Zoomcar Breakdown – No Refund
I reserved a Zoomcar self-drive car for the 16th and 18th of November 2022. The car reservation process began at 5:00 PM on November 16th, from the Mumbai airport. I picked up the car at Mumbai airport and drove it to my hotel in Mumbai, which is around 30 kilometers away. When I arrived at the hotel at 07:00 PM on November 16th, I discovered that one of the car’s headlights was not working, and the engine was making a lot of noise.
I called Zoomcar customer service and reported the problem to the Zoomcar team. I received a call back from the Zoomcar backhand team, with whom I sent the relevant videos and images demonstrating the faults. They stated that they will offer a replacement car the next day. However, they did not return my call or pick up until 10:00 a.m. on November 17th. I was in Mumbai for business, and all of my meetings for the 17th of November had to be made. As a result, I followed Zoomcar’s advice and drove the entire day. The car broke down at the end of the day. I called Zoomcar at least 20 times on November 17th but received no support or response.
Finally, on November 17th, they toed the broken down car and advised that they close the booking. Zoomcar can only cancel the trip because of the breakdown. They will process my returns for trip booking, repairs, and fuel when they have investigated the problem and closed the trip. I was promised a full reimbursement of the trip plus fuel and repair charges. But Zoomcar hasn’t taken any action in more than 05 days, and I’m still waiting for my refund. Because of their lack of attention to my issue, they are now charging me a late fee.
