For the last 2 years, I have been involved with a pending SSDI case. I finally have a hearing date of March 21. I’m a Prostate Cancer survivor. I have been diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy with an implanted defibrillator. Also been diagnosed with Optic atrophy in the left eye with vision loss.
On October 17, 2022, my father passed just a day before my birthday. His estate hasn’t been settled yet.
On January 17, 2023, my 2020 Hyundai Tucson was stolen as a part of the Hyundai TikTok challenge and recovered with over $5000.00 in damages. As a result of lacking a common anti-theft feature puts vehicles manufactured by Hyundai increase the risk of theft.
Just another unexpected expense. Trying to raise funds for deductibles and rentals. I co-parent my 15 yrs old son and the lack of a vehicle has made dropping off and picking up from school difficult.
My father’s estate is in probate and once that’s completed I had planned on upgrading the vehicle to a 2023 Hyundai Palisade SEL. My son will get his license in April 2023 and he is interested in the 2023 Elantra HEV. I’ve owned 2 Hyundai’s in the past.
However after getting my vehicle back from the shop on February 10 and the vehicle being repoed by Hyundai on February 13, 2023. I have changed my position on Hyundai vehicles. During my time in the shop, I got behind on payments because I was raising and saving for my insurance deductible and rental vehicle. I couldn’t afford to pay my cellphone bill to reach out to Hyundai and before I could vehicle was repoed with all the charges it will cost over $2,000.00 to reinstate. I only have half at this point.
